My name is Steven...Steven Choi. As my family name might suggest, I am oriental. I am Korean..SOUTH Korean. I am 19 years old. I lived in Cebu City, Philippines. For those of youwho have no idea what Philippines is, it is a country composed of 7,107 called archipelago(asone might have learned in geography class). For those who think that Philippines is a veryprimitive country, think again.... My parents are missionaries. And as well, I am a Christian. Specifically,I am PRESBYTERIAN. I lived in South Korea until I was Grade 4, so that would make me 11 years old. Then, I left Korea with my parents to training center called ACTI, which was in Singapore. I learned english there from an Indian teacher, but Christian. But I never got speak an english word, but I was understanding english dialogues. It was quite ironical to me, because I can understand what they aresaying, but I was not able to share my thoughts. Anyway, after few months of staying in Singapore, our family came to Cebu City. And from then on, I stayed in Philippines all the way, except for fewvacational trip to South Korea. I did not school in Singapore, so I basically skipped a grade. WhenI was first admitted in to a shool called Bethany Christian School in Cebu, I was only qualified forGrade2. Sad....isn't it? From then on, I made my way back to my own grade level. I was in two gradeseach year. So after 3years, I caught up. I was with my own age level. Then, I transferred to CebuInternational School. I was admitted to my proper grade. Since it is an International School, one would think that its education is higher than the local private school. But the education that I got form Bethany Christian School was much harder and tougher than what I received in Cebu InternationalSchool. Then I came over to USA. Not much excitement there. And now I am attending Illinois Institute of Technology, IIT for short. I am a college FRESHMEN! Anyway, that's enough for my personal background.
